GLR Arquitectos visits the Luis Barragán House and Studio
The team at GLR Arquitectos visited the Luis Barragán House and Studio in Mexico City, the residence and workspace that the architect from Guadalajara designed for himself, and which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Exploring its spaces allowed us to observe firsthand the principles that have made his work a global point of reference: the use of natural light as a design material, the integration of color into architecture, the power of walls, and the serenity found in empty spaces. For GLR, such a visit is an opportunity to return to the foundations of the craft and to be reminded that the spaces that endure are those that evoke emotion through simplicity, a concept that guides our own approach to design and construction.
